These days I am led very little by what I would like to wear and driven mostly by the art of the possible. It’s hard to sit on my hands for fall shopping because it’s my favorite time to shop, but whatever is going to fit me over the next two months is probably not something I will get a lot of wear out of.
The constraints today,
1.) It is warm.
2.) I need to wear these super-stylish orthopedic tights.
3.) If I am going to be on my feet a lot, no cute shoes.
4.) My Cons have given up the ghost, which leads me to these high tops here. I want new Cons, but can’t bring myself to pay the 2.5 times more that they cost here than I know they cost in the U.S.
In my defense,
a.) Sneakers are very in fashion in Europe at the moment according to European fashion blogs, and
b.) I could dress in a random assortment of second-hand clothing that has seen better days for my job and no one would bat an eye.
My husband must really love me because this morning as I was wondering does one really leave the house like this, he walked by and said, oooh, you look nice today! Yep, he’s a keeper.
By the way, the skirt is a stretchy two layer piece of lace over opaque black, so don’t be disturbed by the see-through bit at the bottom. It’s just a bit shifted. I wouldn’t normally wear something so cheesy, but the price was right, it was comfortable, and non-enlargening.
Sorry for the dopey facial expressions. It is evening now, and I am pooped.
