Spent the day with DH, MIL, and her boyfriend at the LA Arboretum. A joyful celebration of plants, of which I can never get enough! I have been going to this place since I was knee high to an agapanthus, and it is a lovely and happy touchstone of a place! Its beauty and convenience to Hollywood means that many movies and TV shows have been filmed here. So much is the same as I remember from my childhood, from the beautiful Queen Anne cottage where Mr. Roarke welcomed the visitors to Fantasy Island (#8), to the fountain where Wonder Woman held her Olympic Games (#1 and 4).
The wildlife at the arboretum, besides myself, featured many gorgeous peacocks roaming the grounds and calling out proudly (see #5 especially), and my DH inspecting a huge banana flower with a bunch of adorable mini-bananas just above it (#7).
Why is this called the "what the heck" edition, you may well ask? Because my outfit is neither noteworthy nor nifty. Originally, I was all geared up to wear an outfit I have been planning for days: a very summery pink-and-blue shorts outfit. But the weather was cool and dreary this morning, and after venturing outside I came back in and changed into what you see here instead. Much more comfy.
So this is a very normal, everyday outfit of mine, but I said, "what the heck" and decided to post it anyway. You might also view this as a "day in the life" outfit, or a "real me" or "daily casual" outfit. But what the heck, right?
