Here's what I'm wearing today! First time I've worn the new boots with pants.

Sorry to post and run, I'm going to meet with some friends for a bite to eat and then we're going to see The Hobbit.

The boots look great with the pants. With the boots and pants being the same color they give you a long leg line. How was the movie?

Funny story about the 1st Hobbit movie - DH and I watched it on video a few months ago and we got to the end and DH gets upset and says "That's it? That's how it ends?" and I'm looking at him, confused, and I say, "Yeah, that's it until 2 and 3 come out". Turns out DH had no idea that it was the first in a trilogy even though we had a whole conversation about it when our friends loaned us the disk. Apparently, he wasn't paying attention.

I like it! And I need to go see the Hobbit too. It's the first book I remember my parents reading to me, and even if the movie strays a bit from the book, I have so much nostalgia for it.

Thanks everyone! I just came back home and I loved the movie, but then I'm a fan of both The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. I loved reading both books as a child and The Hobbit still has a special place on my bookshelf (I have it both in English and in German). I also remember reading it aloud in its entirety when I was a teen, to my sister who couldn't read it herself yet. We saw the original version today, it's just better to have the real voices and not the dubbing.

Love the boots & outfit. I'll be going to see the 2nd Hobbit soon. I'm much less attached to the book than the LOTR books so I don't mind the movie changes; I just couldn't get on with the 2nd and 3rd LOTR movies so matter how stunning the cinematography was.

Thanks E! I have to say I love seeing this world on screen so much I just went with the changes when the book and film diverged. I do get that they are different media and the story being different from the book doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad story on its own. I'm just glad I read the books before seeing the films.

Cute and dynamic! There is something of the understated chic in this... maybe it's the simplicity of the necklace over the stripes... maybe the neutral tone... or the buckles on the cute boots? It's a great combination.

I hope you enjoyed The Hobbit. I really like this look it is an interesting take on a progression from dark to light or light to dark (however you choose to view it). I like black and white prints with gray especially with lighter grays because the print is like a non-integrated version gray. Sleek and chic.
