WIW - Weekend in Philly at the Leger exhibit

Hi all. Here's a quick post from Friday's trip to Philly to visit a friend, then to see the excellent Leger Exhibit, which I highly recommend. I HAD to by a beret because I lost my 80s one and pretended I was french for a while. HAH. LOL!

Oh I am soooo envious! LIving on the west coast, I doubt if I will get to see this exhibit but it looks fantastic. And you look verrry French, my dear, with your new beret. Speaking of which, I am also looking for the perfect black beret as my mustard-colored one doesn't really go with everything I want to wear a beret with...Thanks for the visual reminder. I think I will check out this exhibition online, perhaps I can find some more eye-candy!

You were at the Phila. Museum of Art! I am so jealous. I used to live near there and went all the time with my favorite aunt.

How adorable do you look! I love the beret on you, and that lip color is also perfect. I'd like to see that exhibit -- maybe I'll get up there in Dec. I can't remember the last time I spent any time in Phila, and it's only a couple hrs drive away!

Hey Ladies. Sorry for the late response but thank you, thank you, thank you. I had a fabulous time in Philly and realize I have to visit that city more often. Next exhibit starts on November 3- March??? and focuses on the Surrealists (i'm assuming Dali and Bosch and so on). That's one I"d like to go back and see so for anyone who wants to meet up in Philly for museums and shopping, let me know.

(BTW - I did wear my beret at my tweed ride, just because. I love my beret.)

Julie/John - I guess we both like bobs. Love your do too.

Marmee - Hmmm, I'd like to see a beret on you. I think you can pull it off.

Karymk - I wanted a black beret forever. I had one from the 80s with an emblem and I have misplaced it, but think I threw it out last Fall. It was too big anyway. I got this beret from the museum.

MsKatieKat - you notice my faux leather?? That was one of my buys from Macy's and have worn it to death. I still love it.

Janet - Okay, I have a feeling you like art since your the photographer, but interested in seeing the Surrealists exhibition that will be coming?

Sheila and Deb - I wish I was in the West / San Fran. West Coast vs. East Coast: there are lots of positives and negatives. I love the both.

How fab! You're outfit is perfect for viewing beautiful works of art! Arty, but simple! I used to love black berets, until a certain young lady in D.C. --- initials Monica L., ruined it for me. Remember that photo of her hugging Clinton in a blue coat and black beret? Remember her roundish face and thick dark hair? Yep. For the better part of a decade, any time I put on my beret, people gave me the strangest looks..... I am now more "mature," and I'm inching back in with purple and teal berets. But they lack the Frenchness of yours!

What lipstick are you wearing? It's a gorgeous shade!

Beth Ann - you are too funny. I would have never thought of that although looking back, I remember going to a W.T. (just guess) party and one of the girls dressed up as Monica including a stain on the jacket (okay, tmi). Luckily, I don't think about stuff like that and only correlate the beret with the French look. Lipstick is: Borghese matte (color name has worn off. It's old)
