WIW - Week of the statement colour

Happy Friday! I took 2 outfit photos this week (I had tests on the other days so wore my trusty lucky exam hoodie and battered sweatpants. Not a pretty sight) I consider myself a simple dresser - #1 is about as complicated as I'll go. I like using a pop of colour in an otherwise boring outfit (this week it's evidently reds). With exam season coming up, I will be disappearing for a while so this is probably my last thread for January.

1: I fiddled with this combo quite a bit, and am pleased with the result. Grey knit cardigan, red turtleneck (appears orange in the photo), black skinnies, brown belt and booties.

2: Possibly my most loved blazer w/ contrast lapels, blue straight leg jeans (appears black), bright pink shell (appears orange), black booties. The outfit is perhaps too simple but I like it.

3: Okay, so I cheated a little. This isn't actually a WIW; I'm playing around with my new lace top to find ways to wear it. Here I have tried to adapt Angie's outfit: http://youlookfab.com/2012/10/.....lack-lace/. I went for a neutral, low contrast look. Not sure if I like this. Recommendations appreciated!

Outfit no.1 is fab! I really like how you've combined gray and orange and then topped it off with a brown belt and jeans (which appear to be more skinny to me than straight leg). I like outfit no.2 as well.

I DO like #3. You could always swap the black shirt for white or cream, but as is looks good.
The blazer in #2 has the wow factor with the white lapels- I can see why you love it.

My favorite is #1. For #3 I would like to see your beautiful lace top with something under it in a lighter color...maybe tan, lavender, rose, pink or pale blue. Just cannot see and appreciate the beauty of the lace with the dark shirt under it.

Really like #1! I love the colors together, and the texture of the sweater really makes the outfit. I also like how the belt pulls it together. Lovely!

These are all absolutely fab Nanabear!

#1 - really like the open cardigan so that the bright colour of your top shows more and then the belt to accentuate your tiny waist and beautiful figure.

#2 - I can see why that jacket is loved - it's gorgeous! I love strong colour combos so this really appeals to me.

#3 - oh my...that lace top is AMAZING! The way you've layered it over a sleek column of black is brilliant IMO. Love it like this!

All the outfits are put together so cohesively and they are super flattering. I adore that blazer especially, I would wear something like that all the time. Gorgeous looks all three!

Hey, Gap blazer buddy, I love the blazer in #2 - that's my fav of the three looks. I also think a lighter shirt in #3 would look better under the lace. I have also been wanting to copy Angie's look from that post!

Hi blazer buddy! This was my first blazer and I love it to bits.

Gotta try wearing a white shirt underneath the lace top. The lace top is really big in certain areas, would it be possible to get something like this slimmed?
