WIW - wearing my white shirt snd some things from the back of the cupboard

Here are a couple of posts from outings this week. I got out a few items that I have had for ages but never wear.
Pic one - had coffee with ex-colleagues. Navy trousers which I’ve had for 6 years but never wore. A blouse I never wear, a cardigan I found and my Birkenstocks.
Pic 2 thrifted blazer and thrifted cropped pants (banana republic) with my white shirt and boots.
Pic 3 - on the waterfront after dinner. An old friend from high school came up from the Waikato and we went out to dinner while her teenage daughter was at a concert.
Note: the streaks on the clothes are due to the dirty mirror.

These both look good - and they look like your style too which is interesting as you don’t wear them!

I like the white shirt on you- i could see it with jeans on you worn open over a tank with your birks.

Thanks Sal. I guess it is a case of looking at things through fresh eyes. I find inspo pictures help me to see different ways items can be worn. I will do the white shirt open one day with jeans, thanks for the idea.

Great looks. Love the length of the pants in pic one, and the pop of red from the sweater.

I'm envious of the white shirt look. I've been hanging onto a white shirt for a few weeks now but haven't committed to taking the tags off for fear of it just languishing in my closet.

Two excellent looks. I like the fit of the first pair of pants - you should wear them more often . White shirt outfit is excellent and nice waterfront shot!

These are very cool in a minimalist kind of way. I don’t know what the top in #1 looks like without the cardigan, but I really like the column of colour with the subtle print. I’m with Jaime, and agree you should have those pants in rotation.

I like both outfits but outfit two is my favourite The jacket is really lovely and the white shirt so crisp and fresh you look great.

@ Nikki thank you. I keep thinking I should cut my hair but it’s easier to tie up when it’s long.
@LJP thank you. I used to find white shirts or blouses hard to fit. This is from Zara and I like the shape of it.
@CarolS thank you-I find it easier to wear stuff if I look for inspo pics and copy. I imagine you would look good in jeans and a white shirt like pic attached

@Jaime - thank you cropping those navy pants has been a game changer. I want to wear them all the time now.
@Runcarla thank you-the top is one I had when I was bigger so it’s quite a big fit now..that’s why I decided to front tuck it.

I like both outfits. I like the pattern of the shirt in # 1 and the red of the cardi (coral-ish on my screen) suits you well. Outfit # 2 is pleasantly relaxed and chic at the same time.

Thank you Janet, Angie, Irina, Sisi and Helena. I’ll wear these items more often. I think the cardigan is a classic tomato red, not coral as perhaps photo looks.

These are both fab! I love that you are putting the pants and white shirt into rotation, because they both seem so versatile and look great! I was telling my spouse the other day that he should host a podcast called "I Just Realized I Had This," in which he could talk about what he just re-discovered (coats! boots! sneakers! jeans! pants!) that day, lol.
