Here are some recent vest outfits with plaid shirts.
#1 to #3 - Zella Pink Vest
The Zella pink vest pairs well with a Duluth Trading Co plaid shirt (I don't have a finds for this shirt, it's old), Paige jeans, and ivory Pikolinos boots. An ivory Tory Burch bag finishes the outfit.
#4 and #5 - Eddie Bauer Vest
For this vest outfit I layered a LL Bean plaid tunic hoodie with an Eddie Bauer vest, Paige bootcut jeans, and cowgirl boots.
