Here's what I'm wearing today. I honestly have no idea how I ever got dressed before I owned these pullovers. Do you ever love a new thing so much you literally wear it all the time? I'm also enjoying my new boots a lot.

Can't wait for tomorrow btw, when it's haircut time!

You look great, I love the skirt! And the answer is yes, it's my cigarette pants from JCP - I have had them for 4 yrs. now. I wore them constantly the first year (one pair each in black, blue, and brown) and the second year I saw them on deep sale, so I purchased duplicate pairs (now two each in black, blue, and brown)! One of these days I'm going to take one pair apart and use it as a pattern to make more. Haven't tired of them yet!

I have not seen many of your recent posts, Astrid, and it seems like you've tweaked your style just a bit, but with stupendous results. You look amazing. The scarf is such a wonderful touch, and draws the eye upward to your adorable face. I guess you have to combat the Berlin winter with as much fabness as possible (along with the kaffe und kuchen).

Thanks Mochi! And yes, as much fabness as possible is a good thing - you can't eat "Kaffee und Kuchen" ALL the time. I do like the city in spring and summer, but Berlin fall and winter is depressing for sure.

Thanks! And yes it went well, I'm so glad I finally found a good hair stylist that doesn't experiment on my hair and is affordable. Now the last remaining layers of that bad cut are history.

What kind of cut will you go for?

Thanks Diane and Aubergine! I've taken some pics of the haircut, shown below. It's pretty much one length right now (like the shortest layer of the bad cut). The plan is to adjust this bit by bit so it's longer in front and shorter in the back. We'll see how it goes. I'm very happy to have it shorter again, it's more manageable this way and still looks good today after sleeping on it once.

Cute! It's funny... I've heard several times about how curly girls should always have layers but you are looking just fine with one length. I've wondered about doing the same with mine.

Thanks Brenda. I don't really have curls though, only waves. Just a bit layering can look very good with my hair, but too much and it's chaos - it's easy to do the wrong thing.

(Maybe you can explain the kaffee & kuchen thing to me. There's a version of it where I'm originally from, and I never understood its charm nor the cheer many derive from it.)

Thanks Amy! What version of Kaffee & Kuchen do you know? I just like coffee full stop, and I mean real coffee - not that sweetened caramel whatever stuff. When it's cold outside and you're tired there's nothing better IMO. And then some great cake (no tartes or fancy cakes - nothing too sugary) as a complement to the coffee! It's just a part of our culinary culture, I guess.
