Last week was an advanced travel challenge - 3 days in DC with clients during the polar vortex, followed by a long weekend in Denver with specific dressing requirements. The uncertainty of the weather added an extra degree of difficulty.

Packed (incl plane wear)
Navy suit
Navy sweater
Navy tweed skirt
Dark cherry sweater dress and cardigan
Blue stripe sweater
White t shirt
Navy t shirt
Skinny jeans
Bootcut jeans
Popover blouse (it’s pink, not the black in finds)
Balllet sweater (it’s red, not the stripe in finds)
Maroon 1/4 zip
Sweatpants
LS workout tee
Navy knee high boots
Blondo short boots
Navy flats
White tennis shoes

I also loaded up on tights (which I rarely wear) and socks, as well as a puffy jacket.

What worked: decent variety to support business formal to polished casual looks, was very comfortable for all day meetings/conference attendance, had coverage for different weather options.

What didn’t work: did not wear the stripe sweater, 4 pairs of shoes is a lot for a 6 day trip.

Next time I want to do a little more planning and see if I can streamline more. Everything fit in a carryon, but it was heavy!

Thanks for any feedback.
