I can't tell if I'm bored of my clothes because I'm used to having a fairly large closet and my maternity wardrobe is small or if my style is just boring. I like fairly streamlined, yet feminine looks. No ruffles or bows, not a lot of layers, but not minimal since I like jewelry. But have these gone beyond simple and streamlined and into boring territory?

#1 - Black and white. The neckline is so low that I have to wear a cami underneath and it's been too hot for 2 layers, so this top hasn't been worn much.

#2/3 - Patterned top and green capris (again!). I have limited bottoms that are still comfortable (as I get further and further along I don't like to wear anything constricting) so I wear the same ones week after week.

#4/5 - Black capris with blue top and new pumps.

Sara, I think it's normal to get a bit tired of our options towards the end of any season. Combine that with your special issues (pregnancy so a reduced wardrobe and a very hot climate) and no wonder you're feeling a bit bored.

I have the same problem with hot weather dressing, too -- a top and bottom and shoes feels like...meh! It doesn't always look that way to others, though.

I don't think your simple outfits are boring but if you want to make adjustments, post pregnancy maybe you can consider a few new silhouettes and try a couple of key autumn trends, just to refresh things?

I don't think the outfits you posted are boring. However, as someone who likes to change things up a lot, I understand why you feel that way. I like the fact that in each of these photos, your shoes add some interest to the outfit. So...maybe you can get around the limitations of your top and bottom options, by focussing on other accessory options in the same way you choose shoes. You mentioned jewelry, but there are possibilities with scarves, hair accessories... OK, scarves and hair accessories. I can't think of anything else.

Or, what about exploring other ways to change up your look? New makeup colors, crazy fun nail polish and nail art, etc.

I was the same way. I didn't want to spend a ton on maternity clothes so I wore pretty much the same 4-5 outfits all the time. Gets a bit boring after a while.

That said, your outfits look great! I don't find them too simple because they have great ruching or patterns or small details that enhance the simplicity. That's the kind of looks I like!

Maternity dressing sure does get boring, and your issues are compounded by hot weather dressing constraints, as Suz points out. I've been lucky to avoid the heat as both kids are May babies, so I could enjoy a little more layering for variety.

That said, I think you look great. Number 2 is my favorite! I love the way those shoes look with your green capris.

I can personally relate to your feelings of boredom about your pregnancy wardrobe. The second time around I borrowed many pieces from a girlfriend who's style was very different from mine but one that I admired greatly. I was very fun to get dressed every morning in my 'aspirational style' wardrobe!

Your outfits look modern, classy and interesting to my eyes. Not boring at all! Number 2 is my favorite. On top of that, your best accessory is you lovely glow!

I think you look great, and not boring at all. End of season is always meh anyhow, not even counting latter stages of pregnancy!

I think you're looking terrific, and you're close enough to the finish, that I'd encourage you to concentrate on accessories now, and save a little money for a couple of post-pregnancy pick-me-ups. You have great scarves and necklaces. Do you ever wear bracelets? I could see a stunning cuff on your, or a great watch, or even a bit of arm candy. It would be fun, and it would be wearable after the baby arrives!

I think you all are right and end-of-season blahs are contributing to my feelings of boredom. I did order a pair of skinny jeans because I realized that I don't have a single pair of jeans that are the right length. At least I can wear the skinnies with sandals now and boots when it cools off. The weather can get squirrely in Sept (last year the first soccer game of the season, which was the first weekend in Sept, was so cold the kids were wearing winter jackets, stocking caps and gloves) and I want the option of jeans even though I only have 6-8 weeks to go.

I've been working on a fall/winter wish list that takes into account that I'll be nursing and will need access to my boobs during the day.

I think you're still safe in streamlined territory - I like Beth Ann's suggestion of some armcandy if that's feasible with your lifestyle

You are just looking fantastic Sara - and all of these outfits are wonderful on you. I think there's a few of us getting tired of the summer season's clothes and itching to get into our fall wardrobes - add maternity clothing to that and anyone would be getting bored. But your outfits boring? Not a chance!

Your outfits look wonderful, not at all boring. Remember that you will probably still need to wear your maternity things for a bit after the baby until your body adjusts, which seems to take longer each time. It was a good idea to get some jeans. I love seeing your kitty who seems so attentive to you.

When I was pregnant (twice) I decided to spend the absolute minimum in clothing that was only going to last a few months. So I guess I looked very boring and un-FAB those times. I was far less interested in fashion back then so I did not feel too bad about it.

T-Rex - I painted my nails last night for a bit of fun. I used to do it all the time but got out of the habit this summer since I spent so much time in the pool with my kids and the chlorine caused them to chip.

Angie and Joy - Domino just likes to be where the action is. My husband is taking the pictures and usually my boys get one or two with me also (I just never post those - they look way too goofy first thing in the morning). Plus her food bowl is on the dryer and she's always hoping for a treat.

Lantana - my current pair of sunglasses always make me smile. I bought a super cheap pair (at the gas station maybe?) and they have zebra stripes on the side and the logo says "FENLI". LOL!
