Hi there, I actually have an excuse to dress up a bit today, as I am going downtown with my sis to see Canada's favorite nerd-band, the BareNaked Ladies, whom I love and adore still (since I was 15 ha!).

I am also contradicting everything I have said about Project 333 as I introduce yet another cheat, this $10 sweater from Target, which I love love love. Please don't judge me!

Shirt is BR, pants are the pixies from ON, which I highly recommend, ankle boots are Nine West. Also included a shot of my BR wool trench in charcoal (thanks Angie for recommending the color) and a blush scarf from Indigo.

What a fab monochrome look. The bold stripes suit you and I like the cuffs and collar peeking out from your fab sweater. A nice sleek silhouette too. Great stuff!

You look fantastic! The striped sweater is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. I really like how you've layered a shirt underneath. I'm terrible at that. You look polished and chic. But how about some geek-chic glasses for the BNLadies? I'll wear mine for you.

Oooh! BNL!!!! You are one lucky woman -- I hope you had fun. How could you not, really?

I love this outfit and rather than judging you for buying that sweater I would have judged you had you NOT bought it! A classic at that price? And one you'll wear again and again? This was a smart purchase and a very good addition to a capsule of mainly solids.

That sweater is a great buy, especially for $10! Love the clean stripes and the perfectly slouchy fit.

I think the only Barenaked Ladies song I know is If I Had a Million Dollars. Thanks to that song, I totally know that Kraft Dinner = mac and cheese for Canadians.

Laura, if you know Toronto at all, they were playing inside, at Roy Thompson Hall, with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra! Elizabeth, best kids album ever!!
