WIW - To a Portishead concert

I thought it would be fun to share a very casual outfit. And yes, I am wearing a Winter coat, boots and a scarf. In my defence: it's been feeling like Fall here for weeks, and it was an open-air concert in the middle of a beautiful park. I knew we'd be sitting on stone benches the entire evening, temps around 15°C and rain was a possibility too (luckily we didn't get a drop of rain!). I was glad I wrapped up, being warm enough is the only way for me to enjoy a performance.

Outfit: black Soïa & Kyo coat, linen citron scarf, ponte-knit pants, brown riding style boots, off-white & sage green colour-blocked bag.

P.S. The concert was fantastic! Beth Gibbons has an exceptional voice, and she gave me goose bumps a couple of times last night.

A rare Inge WIW post! This is beautiful on you - love the pop of citron next to your face, the double breasted buttons and fit of the coat, riding boots and then that amazing handbag - the sage green is delicious! Sounds like you had a wonderful evening - glad it didn't rain on you!

Oh, LOVE. I'm so pinning this to copy when it gets cool enough. I don't have a citron scarf, but I do have lime. Falling over myself at how nicely the warm colors of the scarf and boots play off the black.

Lovely outfit! I love the riding boots, all the more so because I've never been able to wear them.

But seriously, what is it with Europeans and winter coats even above 10 degrees? When I was in Italy a few years ago, a cousin of my husband's was running around in 13 degree sunny weather in a puffer coat with a chunky knit wool scarf. I was dying of the heat in my wool coat with all the buttons undone. I ended up switching to light jackets. We both thought the other one was crazy... LOL! We were giggling about it, just for the record.

Although stone benches is a good reason to bundle up.

Your photo just did me in, Inge! Your stance against the brick building, in that gorgeous Soia & Kyo coat, with the citron scarf and that oh-so-cool color-blocked bag, is riveting. I love it all!!! So happy the raindrops didn't arrive on you or Portishead. p.s. I love outdoor concerts. Nothing like music and nature sharing space together.

Shannon - Thank you! And yes, we were so relieved to have a few rainfree hours.
Rae - Wow, I've never been pinned before:-) I think the scarf is somewhere in between citron and lime actually, so yours will definitely work too.
Anna - Hm, perhaps you're right. To me it looks more like a dark sage green, but colours look different on every monitor.
JR - LOL. I do feel the cold very easily, and definitely need lots of layers and a warm coat when I have to sit still outside in lower temps. And I would absolutely be one of the people sporting a Winter coat in 13°C weather, not a puffer coat though, but wool, yep, and a scarf too;-)

Fun pop of color with that scarf against the dark coat. I envy your boot and coat wearing as I am sitting inside hiding from the 105F heat we have today! I can't wait til fall comes around.

Envy on two counts. Portishead...'cause nobody loves me...it's true...not like you do... and an outdoor concert where you needed a coat. Good grief -- it's a nasty 103 here today, with high humidity.

How can the weather be that different in La Belgique? Never mind my whining -- you looked great!

It's hard to imagine your cool weather when Kansas was the hot spot of the nation today and nothing but 100's continue for at least the next 10 days. However, that coat is gorgeous on you! I'm inspired by your use of the citron scarf and brown boots with the black coat. You have wonderful style and can teach us alot!

I would totally wear a coat and scarf in 13 degree weather. In fact it is often that in our winter! And that is not taking into account a stone bench and being indoors
