WIW - tight pencil skirt workaround

I have not yet been able to shop for new pencil skirts that fit (after all of your lovely and helpful suggestions) but with our weather back up in the 80's again, I decided to find a way to wear one of my too tight skirts.
Sweater: Anthropologie
Shell: CAbi
Skirt: Express
Shoes: Civico 10
Bracelet: vintage piece from my MIL (given to her by an aunt - guessing from the 30's)

Wow, such a lovely color scheme, it goes not only for your weather but with SUz's landscape from today, too! I love boubles on your cardi, and have lots of scarves with similar embelishment. I don't see your pencil is too tight??? I see a good fit, and like the choice of a tan sandal, too! &Bracelet is amazing, of course!

From this pic, I truly cannot tell that your skirt feels tight. The sweater is gorgeous with your hair color, and I too love your shell! Your sandals and bracelet complement the outfit beautifully. You look lovely in this!

Lovely outfit! I don't think the skirt looks too tight at all. I really like the dose of color from the sweater and I think the sweater really makes the outfit. It works beautifully with your skin tone and hair and when I tried to imagine if you had chosen a black, gray or tan (more neutral) sweater instead of this color it didn't feel as impactful.

Wow. Thank you all so much! I guess the sweater did its work in the camouflage department. I was pleasantly surprised that the skirt wasn't quite as tight as I had remembered, but here are a couple pics that show it a little better. It pulls across the thighs more than I like and the hemline creeps up as I move, which results in a little dance I like to call the tug-squiggle-shimmy whenever adjustments need to be made. I am pretty sure that maneuver is not as flattering as it is entertaining...

In your pictures, the skirt looks like it fits fine. I think the long cardigan does a good job of hiding any fit issues. I like the color combination and think you look good.

What a gorgeous outfit! I love the colours and I can see why you love MMB's style too. I wouldn't have thought the skirt was too tight, so go sweater! hehe

It's in the 70s here today with a threatened high of 81 (sigh), so I get having to dress for the heat.

Sarah - your outift is absolutely lovely!! No one would know, looking at it, that you felt that the skirt was tight. I know how annoying it is when things are not comfortable and you are constantly fussing with them. I'm glad you made the skirt work so brilliantly but I hope you find something that is more comfortable soon!!
