Well, I tried this with my red moto jacket and felt like I was about to enter the bullfighting ring... so I wore this blue Esprit velvet blazer instead. It also worked with my green leather jacket.

Since this houndstooth blouse is so drapey, the neckline sat better when I buttoned it all the way up, and I added a necklace for a bit of a collar effect. Simple black booties, black belt and black purse. I think I'm going to try these pants with oxfords next time I wear them.

What do you think of the black placket on the shirt? At first I wasn't sure whether it was too much vertical line-age, but I kind of like it for the graphic quality.
