This relates back to the conversation we had about when and why we post WIWs. I had an outing planned, it was still very warm, and I wanted to wear these pants. They are kind of tricky to style because of the length and the print. But I love them, so they stay. First I tried the drapey orange top, which was a perfect color match, but didn't work because it felt overall too long and too drapey with those pants. I chose my gold gladiators because I don't wear them often, and I wanted to get at least one more wear before fall closed in.
I switched to my fail safe J Jill white sweater, which has fixed many an outfit. There, the silhouette is great! But I'm not crazy about the shoes, hmmm. They kind of disappear with that pant length.
Next, I pulled out a pair of Kelsi Dagger Brooklyn shoes that I've had a long time and hope to keep forever, so I don't wear them very often. Now I liked the result, and off I went.
PS: the friend I was meeting wore the most amazing BROWN faux suede cape (mid-thigh length) with black leather trim. I wanted to rip it off her.
