WIW - the leopard top take 2 - YouLookFab Forum

Hi friends, on the advice of Angie and Lisa, I'm having another crack at the leopard top, this time with white pants (since 'mud season' is slated to start tomorrow I better get them in while I can!) and cognac shoes/belt/bag.

I think this looks more pulled together, with the white and cognac taking centre stage and the leopard acting as more of an accent. I think I could probably skip the belt actually; what do you think? Pro of my hair dye situation ... now that it's faded out so much, cognac is actually not a bad bookender

Here's today, and the other day for comparison; open to feedback and suggestions thanks! I feel like today looks like an outfit; whereas the other one just looks like a shirt and jeans iykwim.

I'll try it with olive pants and white sneakers next time. For me, gray works best when combined with white, and I must remember that going forward.

Lovely outfit, the leopard top works great with white jeans. It would be “no” to the belt, though, too matchy-matchy for me Alternatively, you could keep the belt and switch shoes for white snickers.

I like the 1st outfit as is and I think that with a different bag color(white maybe) it wouldn't seem so matchy IMO
The 2nd one is also a winner and I can see it with a trench coat and boots for the mud season ahead.

Looks great, agree with Irina that two pieces of the same color leather is enough. I'm not against matching but the similarity creates too many stops.

I did ditch the belt to try it, and I think I like this better ... personal Helena rule for me write down: when in doubt, err on the side of less But I do like both versions and would wear the belt for extra polish if the situation (or my mood) called for it.

LOVE it with the white. Wow! I prefer the belted version with cognac complement but it is going to work great with white sneakers, too!

I like both, but think to tone down the “matchy”, my choice would be to switch out the bag. I like the other too, for a different kind of outfit.

I like the top on you, and I agree the white jeans outfit is especially fab. I also like the top with the dark jeans, and think you could switch to white sneakers for an extra pulled-together look.

I liked #2 very much when you posted it the other day.
I like the belt and shoes together. But then, I am Mrs Matchy-Matchy

This looks great! I can definitely see why you prefer it with the white jeans. I think blue jeans read more casual so they’re a better balance for your collared shirts, whereas this top is elevated by the white jeans.

LisaP has a point that one does not always have their bag in hand, so it is not overkill. That said, looks great without the belt too.

Love it! Grey is tricky for me too, and this is a really nice balance of neutral and pop. Agree that white is a good color to throw in the mix since it helps create contrast with your hair and brighten up your coloring, but it also just looks nice with those spots!
