It’s feeling like fall today! I am feeling the need to get out of the house and I have some printing to do at the studio so I’m venturing out to take advantage of a beautiful fall day.

I decided it was finally time to break out the sweater vest that I bought this summer, inspired by this photo from the NAS catalog. I lack the cool vibe of the skinny young model but I did my own middle-aged version, LOL.

Scendin sweater vest, m:philosophy black tee, old Pilcro boyfriend jeans, old Frye combat boots, and Minkoff silver backpack.

It’s chilly this morning so I’m putting on the Gary Graham/Levi’s denim jacket — it’s good for fitting over roomy items like the sweater vest. I’m not usually one for double denim but this I don’t mind!

I chose this sweater vest instead of the one from Nordstrom because of a few details: I prefer the black banding on this version for lower contrast with my bottoms, this version has vents cut into the sides which allow for a better fit on my hips, and this version didn’t shed white fibers all over my black tees! It’s not the most conventionally flattering silhouette on me, but I enjoy the pattern and vibe so I’ll accept a little less flattery sometimes.
