WIW - Summer simplicity

Like the Season

Here's what I've been wearing lately.

I purged a few button up shirts recently, as I just don't reach for them. (As mentioned in an earlier post, they're now on my do-not-buy list.) An exception is the sheer white top in #4, which I've worn six times so far this summer. New this season is the black popover in #1. It's just my style for this time of year -- lightweight (semi-sheer), natural fabric (100% cotton), easy silhouette.

You have such a lovely artistic style. I really like #5. There is something graceful about the lines. I'm assuming that the top is linen? Would you mind sharing the make information?

Thanks, Runcarla! Yes, that top is really special. It's very well made with medium-weight linen and has an interesting construction. People who sew often stop to ask me about it.

I had removed the tag, but I just called over to the favorite local boutique where I bought it last summer and they said it was made by CMC, a label that unfortunately appears to only be available to retailers.

You have a very consistent style. I really like the way the tops with curved hems (#2 and #4) look on you. It's a softer, more gentle look somehow.

I know it seems a bit affected to turn my head in the photos like I'm looking at someone or something. LOL. But I started doing that a long time ago -- I take these photos for my daily outfit journal and I can more easily make out which color cap I'm wearing if I turn to the side.

glad you kept the shirt in #4 as that's my fav of the collection...love the easy brezzy feel of the wider legs and white shirt.

Lovely outfits. All very well put together and flattering. I like 5 and 6 best.
