It was around 31*C/92*F today and this is what I changed into after a morning mulching Eucalyptus trimmings. (Mmm, nice smell.)

  • White Bermudas: I finally chopped my loyal white bootcuts and tapered them. Now they are Bermudas, yes?
  • Taupe top: This is made from a thrifted vintage skirt. It's a cute fabric with Schnauzer-type doggies and very cool to wear. I tried to copy the top in pic #3 but I made it too short in the front. At home I am wearing it sans cami and my midriff is not visible but it feels like it is. So a cami for going out, definitely.
  • Ankle strap sandals: I have particular needs in a sandal. If I wear strappy sandals with lots of webbing across the vamp my wayward little toe makes a bid for freedom. I've tried taping the wilful toe to its well-behaved neighbour but that results in two crazy toes hanging out the side of the sandal. Whheee, freedom! I also need to have my heels encased or they crack like an overcooked fruit cake. These sandals tick both these boxes and in a pinkish snakeskin will be quite versatile.

I saw much of this kind of outfit on YLF during the northern hemisphere summer. I was madly taking notes at the time and now the weather is finally giving me a chance to put my lessons into practice.

If you think you can see your influence here you will be right!

As always, I look forward to and appreciate your comments. Penny
