WIW - Sneakers with everything

Still struggling to find appropriate summer footwear to fit my orthotics. So I mostly wear sneakers these days. First sunny day after awhile. Does it work?
And I am also struggling with my hair. Any idea what to do with it?

It certainly works. All the pales together and then the small pale flowers with the black and red look really pulled together. Sorry no hair ideas.

Isn’t it funny how just a couple years ago sneaks with an outfit like this would have been considered a fashion faux pas and today completely on trend and even fashion forward? This is great, I just love it. Your hair is beautiful. My style is similar but shorter and I am finding a low pony, after a bit of hair mussing, seems current and lifts my face.

re hair...i like it as your wearing it now...but you would pull the top back and secure it with a barrette (examples 1 & 2) or something like #3, which i'm interested in trying...

I like it. The color combination makes it look intentional rather then ‘will change into pumps at work’ iykwim. (Though I personally don’t mind that look. )
For your hair: I like it in your avatar pic, a bit shorter than now perhaps? But I also like it as is.

Love it! Here’s hoping sneakers never go out of style. I don’t know even lust after pretty heels anymore (I could never really wear them).
And you do have beautiful hair. I like kkards suggestions to pull some back from the front. There are so many variations on these styles to try. I let mine be a little messy/boho and find they work best with not-so-clean hair. The pins or clip just stay in better. I don’t even bother trying with freshly washed hair but perfect for dry shampoo days.
If you are looking to cut, perhaps just a trim and some long layers. I could also see you with a smooth/angular chin length bob. But I do love it long.

I really love this look, and I'm not always a fan of sneaks with a dressier outfit. Really pretty!!

My long hair experience has been that I look better, and younger, when a long length is not pulling my face down with it, if that makes sense. I look back at all the lengths I've had in the past 10 years - from a few inches below my shoulders, to shoulder length, and now to chin, and every time I took it up a few inches it was more flattering to my face. You have such a pretty shape to your face, I bet framing at chin length would be stunning. I used to insist that my hair was long enough to pull back when I was a runner, but I find that bobby pins and headbands work just fine for yoga and other exercise to keep my hair out of my eyes. Your hair is really pretty now, so if you are looking for styling suggestions at the current length I always loved a french braid - outside or inside.

Love, love, love the sneakers! Your hair looks great... very healthy. If it bothers you, you might have it trimmed a bit and look for a way to wear it up when it's really hot.

Thanks for the feedback on sneakers, I love them, they are good for my feet and go with lot of my wardrobe. But I would really live to have some other options too. I tried numerous loafers and ballerinas but once I put inserts in them they became to shallow and slip from my feet. I had to remove original inserts from this Ecco sneakers to make room, but this is not option in most shoes.
And regarding hair - this is the longest ever that I didn’t change color or the cut. Before going gray I was often changing my hairstyle and I am itching for change again. And now too often I just wear it up in a ponytail or a bun.

Absolutely does work! I have that same Boden jacket and like it best over a red top. You've given me a great idea what to wear as a bottom. If only I had a skirt like that! I am going to have to have a try on with the skirts I do have and some sneakers.

I really like your hair, Anchie. I was a bit tired of my long hair and wearing it the same way all the time, so I hear you on the bun and ponytail. I bought a new flat iron recently and I try to practice with different straight and wavy styles. I don´t do it every day, only when I have the time and I feel like it, but it is quite fun to be able to change it up a bit. How about something like that?

Longer angled bob IS the style that I had for years now and that I got tired of I was thinking of growing it longer so last time when I went for haircut we didn’t touch the length but she cut it in two layers, shorter being now about bob length so I could easily go back to that style. But I am not that happy with the current cut - my hair seems more frizzy and I can’t achieve that straight hair look even with flat iron. Probably need some different product now. Going back to angled bob is familiar and safe choice but I am not excited about it at all.

That outfit is FANTASTIC. I've been having tendonitis issues in one ankle and find that I can't wear heels of any kind right now and even flats are not a good choice when out and about. So I am all sneakers, virtually all the time these days. And honestly? Liberating!

Love the jacket especially, and the sneakers work-though I'd personally like the laces more subtle, like tucked in instead of the bow or narrower laces. Agreeing with the others to just trim, you have beautiful hair! If you want new styling ideas, there's a blog called Hair Romance, where she does all sorts of different braids and other updos
