With the weather getting milder (but still cold for the time of year) I craved lighter weight clothes – and dresses! Midis to the rescue! And cotton sweaters! All my heavy wools are packed away but I kept some cashmere sweaters in rotation too. So here’s two variations on a winterized dress outfit, two with my new green skirt and one with my printed midi.
1-2: You guys told me when I got this dress that it would work great with winter boots but it took me until now to actually try it. Granted, I need to be in the mood for this dress but last week, I was! Layered my white boxy sweater over and later my pink sweater (there’s pink in the print of the dress) which I partially tucked into the self-tie. That last styling trick was a bit fussy but I did like the total look. This midi works great with my cowboy boots, making it possible to skip the pantyhose finally!
3-4: I liked this skirt with the turtleneck and longline cardigan but spilled tea on the white top before noon, so changed into the all-green version. I like the first one better but think the second is passable?
5: So happy I could get this skirt out on a single hot day, when I wore it with the ice blue tee! The day after, I layered the seafoam cardigan over. Not sure about the silhouette but I unexpectedly like these colors together after seeing them hanging next to each other – all happy colors for me! What do you think, go or no go?
Any thoughts and comments welcome!
