All of my dresses are in the wash and it was still hot this weekend, so that meant skirts! I really love dresses but usually find skirts to be fussy. I think it's because I have a high, short waist so I am always tugging them down.

Outfit 1: Worn to a matinee theatre event. I wanted something a little dressy but not over the top and remembered my trusty tube skirt from last summer. The fit is more body con this year so I paired it with this very fluid silk blouse. It was a cute outfit but another 80F/27C day and very humid and the tube skirt doesn't breathe very well, so it might not see a ton of action this summer.
Vince Camuto skirt, Banana republic top, shoes from Winners.

Outfit 2: Worn to meet an out-of-town friend for dinner downtown. This skirt is my version of boho for the summer. I haven't owned any a-lines or fit-and-flares in a few years because I found the silhouette too young and boho for me, but I fell in love with this pattern. Worn with a tank top around the house and while walking and I added the cardigan for extra warmth in the AC for dinner.
Loft skirt, Madewell tank, Gap cardigan, Softspots shoes.

Does outfit two qualify as boho-lite? I'm not sure after staying away from boho for a few years. My summer style is still all over the place but I'm feeling happier with my options
