WIW - seasonally confused?

We've had beautiful fall weather here in Seattle! It's cool in the mornings but sunny and relatively warm in the afternoons. It's been a crazy busy week and I was looking for something easy and comfy to wear on Friday. I know the opportunities for wearing these white cropped pants are winding down, so I wanted to wear them (doesn't hurt that they are super comfortable!). I paired them with a big black, oversized sweater, my grey animal print booties (2014 NAS), white watch, Stella & Dot necklace and my Kate Spade handbag (2013 NAS).

So does this work? Or does the white cropped pants and black oversized sweater read as seasonally confused? Ideas for improvement always welcome!

You look very chic to me. I can see why you'd want to sneak in another wear of the white cropped pants, they are perfect.

Totally works to my (neutral freak) eye. "Black and white is always right." And I do mean always. I say wear the white pants whenever you want!

Super cool look, Christy! Wow, wow, wow. Those booties just kick the outfit into the stratosphere, and the bag is genius with it, too. I like the long tassel necklace.
Seasonally confused would be a sleeved puffer on top.

Fab-u-lous! The booties and your hair, as well as the white pants, balance out the darker shades well, so to me it's a win win.

Ambergreen: I'm a neutrals girl too! Black and white is always right indeed. Loved meeting you at the SSIF - you looked great in your black & white and your shoes were too awesome!
Ornella: you'll get there! It's so much work isn't it? We still have a few boxes hidden away in closets and the garage. I'm beginning to think that if I haven't missed it by now, I should just donate the unopened boxes!
Zibbetts: these are the Sloan slim ankle pant from banana republic. I love them so much I have them in 5 colors and 2 different lengths.
Firecracker: so I shouldn't wear the Burberry with it?
Cocolion: chic makes me happy. That's what I aspire to!

Chic! The booties make it. I am also confused by our cool mornings and warm afternoons. I've been searching for mid weight cotton long sleeved shirts that are more than tees, but not quite sweaters (or at least light sweaters). I've also taken to wearing a short sleeved tee under my shirts and sweaters so that I don't become a sweaty mess at 3:00.

I would wear this in a HOT SECOND in Southern California, and after seeing you, I can learn from my Seattle Sister, because I love it, Christy.

There's nothing more classic than black and white and Angie has proven how white can rock throughout any season. You're proving it here.

Now, I plan to do the same thing with my black and white Dalmatian Matisse booties, white skinnies and my grey and black Kate Spade purse. I will be copying you soon, so consider me seasonally confused or happily copycatting you.

This works brilliantly! And I am the queen of seasonal confusion complaints, so if I like it, it's all good.

Seriously -- I find the caged sandals are like a transitional bootie, almost. (I wore mine two days ago, too, with a layered look). And the sweater is so elegant! You look absolutely stunning.
