Hi fabbers,

Today DH and I were exhibitors at a bridal show for our videography business. It was a long day of pressing the flesh, but the highlight was meeting a woman who creates incredible garments. Her coats are very piratey, made of beautiful brocades in carpet-bag colors. They have velvety lapels and amazing details.

Now some girls are shaped like Queen Amidala, and some are shaped like Princess Leia. I am shaped like a different Star Wars character. When DH saw this video he said at first, "these aren't the droids you're looking for." Then after a bit he said, "You're a jawa!" And much as it pains me to admit it, the man is right. I am a jawa.

The coat was so beautiful and well made, I felt amazing when the seamstress put it on me. As I walked down this aisle many people came out to see me, the coat has that kind of power. You will notice I look better than usual, no I'm not wearing makeup or lifts. It's the coat. I think it has a +3 charisma or something.

Here's a video of me wearing it, taken by a professional videographer (my husband)

And here is the seamstress's website if you'd like to see the many other lovely things she creates. The item I am wearing is the Winterfield Coat.

I told her about YLF and she was smitten with the term "urban warrior princess" among other fab things I told her. I wouldn't be surprised if she visited here soon.

Also here are a couple of other ladies wearing her fantastic garments.

Toodles!
