WIW - playing with new silhouette

I've been watching excitedly as everyone here has been playing with their silhouettes. I decided to throw in a wool blazer & big scarf into the mix because I was getting bored with the normal jeans and sweater routine. I haven't been wearing my blazers too much because they don't fit under coats too well but I love this old brown wool Boss blazer which is part of a pantsuit and decided it needed to be worn. I tried desperately to work on new camera spots that will allow me to take pics in the evening when I have more time. It only worked so so. Any preference between the scarves? I noticed this jacket had 3/4 length sleeves. Are longer sleeve jackets more flattering?

This looks great! I prefer the periwinkle scarf too. It looks soft and chic with the jeans and boots. I think 3/4 sleeves are very flattering--the exposed wrist adds structure and often looks more flattering than a full length sleeve (if you can stand the drafts!)

I like that blazer with the boyfriend jeans. It has a little bit of a retro feel, and I like the fitted silhouette with the relaxed jeans. I find the 3/4 sleeves flattering, though I have no idea how much they are in style. I will say I have at least one jacket with 3/4 sleeves that I wear, too. I kind of like the third scarf best, I think, though they all work similarly with the outfit, to my eye. I would like to see a lighter one, perhaps (lighter fabrication), just for comparison. The ones you're wearing in these photos give a nice cozy look.

kellygirl - good insight. I never realized an exposed wrist would add structure. My wrists don't seem to mind the drafts as long as my neck is warm!
Firecracker - thanks, it does seem that fitted toppers are working best with these relaxed jeans. I will keep experimenting with the scarves. Maybe my silky scarves might work with this blazer.
