WIW - plaid plants, should I keep or consign? ETA better pics.

WIWing today to try to decide if I keep these pants. So I liked the idea of plaid and grey, so got these and I sized up hoping for slouchy...but did not realize they are like SUPER stretchy material, so now they are just loosy and the waist is huge. Like I could take 4-5in out huge. So I thought I might just consign them since I have the ON leopard grey jeans. Or should I get the waist taken in?

Also, you're seeing my new favorite sweater again. Love this one. No cami today, gasp! Do I need one, I have a nube bra on but maybe that's too sheer a top?

No time for hair today, bangs to the side!

I love the look of the plaid but the way you are standing it is hard to say anything about the fit. I do think plaid is sufficiently different than leopard to keep both in theory. The sheerness question is probably a factor of your comfort level and where you are going today. Despite all these qualifications, you look great in the photo!

ETA - I enlarged the picture and will say I love the plaid bottoms and think I would suggest a cami!

It's hard to tell in the picture, but if they feel that big and loose I would consign them.

And yes, I think a cami would be a good idea with the sweater, although sometimes if you use flash it shows things that aren't seen normally.

Ok, sorry for the bad pic, I added one just straight on, and one of the waistband. The pants are so stretchy they still "fit" the leg, though the knee is baggy. The waist is where they are huge.

Hmm, the waist is huge, but maybe if they fit OK everywhere else you could just have the waist taken in. They're cute pants! I'd love to see them with a charcoal or black top...

Well, I love the pants, plus I was reading online that plaid will be huge for the upcoming fall/winter season. Are they a nice brand ? If yes, then I would definitely take them to the tailor to have the waist taken in, that is an easy remedy. Love that sweater, I would personally add a matching cami underneath.

Yah they are Paige brand Tanya. I didn't pay much for them though, well as far as brand name jeans go. I think around $50. I guess no one else liked that pattern

I really like the pattern! An since they are good quality I would say they are worth of an extra $20 of an investment to fix the waistband.

I think the plaid pants are cool, and aside from the waist they do not look too big. The waist is ridiculous though... I'd probably get them taken in there.

I think Paige pants are just huge at the waist. I have this problem with my Paige Liberty skinnies too... although mine are not quite so gapey as yours, I do need to wear a belt.

I'd keep them and get them altered as they are a great looking pant other than the waist issue. The sweater needs a cami but it is cute!

I think they look great on you, from the front. You'd never guess the waist was so huge! Definitely worth the effort of at least a conversation with a tailor... it might be tricky to adjust them that much though.

I wore them around all day today. I didn't mind the looseness in the leg, but the crotch was a bit baggy, which might be reduced by taking the waist in. They are baggier than they appear in the pics, especially after a few hours wear. I realize they are jegging material, and not stiff enough denim, so I shouldn't have really sized up. They are really comfy though and the looseness is nice, so I think I will take them to get altered. Thanks for the votes!
