2nd of 2 WIWs tonight - would love opinions as I am building up my ladylike, simple, modern classic work wardrobe.
1, 2: Pink A-line wool skirt from Land's End, black & gray leopard print turtleneck from Target, black merino cardigan from J Crew
Love this outfit formula, obviously! The slight A-line and hem of this skirt feel perfect to me, the color is one of my favorites, and it goes with black. The cardigan is fine...I think the shell could be upgraded but for this season it's good enough.
3, 4: Black turtleneck, J. Crew lace print sweatshirt, ancient black pants from Banana, crystal necklace from Target (outfit a mishmash of blog inspirations!)
I hate the pants. Aside from the issues with my sprained ankle boot (gone now), the rise is too short and I have decided I no longer love pants on me. I do thin the leg width and length are good for me, which is why these are still in my closet, but I am desperate to find a replacement for those days when I want to wear pants.
I also don't think I love the sweatshirt with the pants, because the combination of the relatively short torso of the shirt and the low rise of the pants doesn't feel right to me. I will retry the sweatshirt with a skirt with a higher rise and see if it works. I love the lace print.
