WIW - Pastel and black/white - YouLookFab Forum

I apologize for the dark, blurry pictures. My photographer doesn't know why they all look like this lately.

#1 - The weather is unseasonably warm so I'm pulling out the transitional footwear - White jeans, black drapey button-down, leopard print pumps.

#2 - I thrifted this cardi awhile back but always have problems styling it. It seems like it should be a no-brainer as it's a normal length and a pretty color. I think I need to go back and read Angie's post on spring pastels for some ideas.

How are the cropped pants? I think they may be too wide at the bottom but I have problems with this area of figure flattery. I see cropped pants so much that they all pretty much look fine to me.

Love the graphic black and white with the leopard pumps (how I wish I could break out the transitional footwear). The mint is a great colour for you. How about pairing it with another pastel? I think the crops may look wide to you as your legs are very slim. They hit at a tricky spot, which would probably be balanced by a bit of a heel.

I like the black and white - your necklace is fab. I think a small heel would look nice with the cropped pants, or how about a pair of wedge sneakers? You could taper them in a bit at the bottom or even shorten and taper them to a few inches below the knee.

LOVE #1! It's so fab.

I think Karie has given good advice for the crops. You wear them better than most people with your slender frame, but tapering or wearing a heel would probably help even so.

What the others said about the crop's, otherwise I think you look terrific. Love the leopard pumps and necklace; and mint really suits you.

Oohhh, that necklace in #1 makes the outfit so interesting!

How about a couple of thin cuff rolls to the crops?

Love that first outfit Sarah - the crisp black and white are wonderful together and the fit of those white trousers are beyond fab on you. I like the cropped jeans in the second outfit, especially paired with the striped top but agree that a bit of tapering at the ankle could make them even better.

I like 1 too -- 2 I think has potential. I think the crops tapered a bit more and a tad shorter would look better. But they certainly aren't horrible as is!

#1 looks super! For #2, I think that the crops need either to be more tapered at the hems or shortened up a little bit. The cardi is cute, though seems a bit sweet for you so I'd suggest pairing with items to offset that.

Love #1 and the animal print shoes look great with the black and white. I agree with the above suggestions for the cropped pants. Have you tried rolling them? Nice pairing of the pastel sweater with the Breton top!
