I just took a last minute vacation for five days to visit a friend in Myrtle Beach, SC. The weather was in the 80's F and humid, and it was a casual trip, so shorts were the bottom of choice. Actually, I flew down on a budget airline that charged for carry-ons, so I sent my bag down with my friend who was driving down a few days earlier. But I wasn't expecting to do that, so I threw together a "vacation capsule" in ten minutes. By the time I got here, I couldn't remember what I packed!

I packed pretty much all of my linen and cotton tank tops and one cotton cardigan, just in case. I didn't get the chance to respond to Rachy's recent shorts thread, but I wore shorts for hiking, kayaking and miniature golfing (which involves a surprising amount of bending up and down!).

Packing list:
3 tank tops: Eileen fisher tank, Mexx linen tank, Gap cotton woven tank.
2 woven shirts: Zara white linen top, Loft striped button down.
2 pairs shorts: Gap denim and BR chambray shorts.
2 pairs shoes: Chaco sandals and Softspots slip-ons.
1 dress: Gap (not worn)
1 pair pants: Loft khakis (worn on plane).
1 cardigan: Gap, for evenings/travel.
1 bathing suit.

And below are some of the outfits I wore. The last one was a sightseeing trip in an amazing scupture garden. Sorry for the poor picture quality but I had a room without good natural light. Comments on the capsule or the outfits are welcome

ETA: not all of these shirts are white, even if they look it in the photos. 3/4 actually has a light green leaf print on it and 6 is a light blue with a white plaid pattern. And I had one extra pink tank that I didn't get a photo of.
