WIW - olive, green, blush vest, floral pants

#1 - Black asymmetric top with olive pants. This is one of my favorite color combinations. DH was out of town for a few days so this photo was taken by DS, which is why it's slightly blurry.

#2 - St. Patrick's Day outfit. My oldest son had a soccer game at 4:30 that afternoon and we were going to go from the game to a brewery with a couple other families. I thought the sweater and boots would work for both situations. Then we decided any brewery would probably be too crowded because of St. Paddy's Day for such a large group (6 adults, 7 kids) and we ended up at someone's house to hang out I think the proportions are slightly off - maybe a shorter sweater would have looked better but I wanted to wear this green one.

#3 - The temps dropped about 20 degrees from the day before and I was cold all day, hence the puffy vest. It's slightly too big and I wish I had ordered the next size down. I mainly wear it as gear under a jacket for extra warmth so it's not usually a problem.

#4 - Work outfit with floral pants and chambray top.

I especially like the first one, but that's just my natural taste for a monochromatic look.

Lovely outfits! No 1 is my personal favourite, I also love the colour combination. The silhouette is beautifull and the necklace makes the combo shine. Love your floral pants - gorgeous on you.

You are so creative mixing and matching outfits. Fun floral shoes! And the green & brownish (?) necklace looks really great on you and adds interest in a subtle way. I wonder if you are a light "Autumn" ... (I also wonder if you are wearing your natural hair colour, but that is a personal question, and of course you don't need to answer that.) Anyway, I have a feeling that (some) autumn colours might be your very best choice. How about combining the olive pants from #1 with the blush puffy vest from #3? Of course, you would need a top, too ... Maybe a light olive one?

Love the first look—I'd definitely wear that combo with the colors reversed—and the floral pants, which are adorable on you. I also really like the color of that vest, soft coral?, on you; it looks so flattering against your skin tone.

The Cat - I've always had trouble figuring out where I fit on those seasonal color palettes. I don't think Autumn because it has all those oranges, mustards, and beiges that look terrible on me. My hair has blond highlights in it right now but it's normally a dark ashy brown. Every time I've talked to my hair stylist about red highlights she talks me out of it because she says my hair doesn't have any warm tones in it.

I love blush and olive. I could wear a white top under the vest.

#1 is super! I notice how your haircut also adds to the angular nature of this outfit. Love it all! You could do a lot with this top+pants combo, too -- jewelry, scarves, jackets.

Interesting, Sara L. I asked because I have noticed that you look great in SOFT colours, which are generally found in the Summer and Autumn pallettes. However, if your hair is ashy brown with no red warm tones and you feel many autumn colours look terrible on you, then you are probably not an Autumn. Anyway, when you wear SOFT colours--i.e. not black and not clear white, but i.e. the chambray/denim blue shades, which are very beautiful on you--your own colouring is emphasized and we see YOU, not primarily the colours you are wearing. So you could be a Soft Summer.

Yes, I can see how Soft Summer could work. I think the blond highlights add more lightness/warmth to my hair color which changes the color palette I fall into.
