Suz looked so amazing in her new blue velvet shirt, it inspired me to pull out my black Sanctuary shirt from several years ago. It was a favorite for a couple of winters and then sort of got lost in the shuffle somehow. I paired it with another old favorite but recently neglected item, these ancient plaid pants. They used to fit me more loosely and I would certainly prefer that old fit again, but they felt ok and aren’t too tight. This is about as skinny as I’m willing to go with pants fits these days — I’m off of legging-like skinnies and have donated nearly all of what I had.

Paired with Frye combat boots. In normal times I would have sparked up the top half of the outfit with some hold earrings, and I did wear a silver and malachite statement ring. I was going to wear my ombré green cashmere scarf, my black cashmere hat, and my long black puffer, but I ended up working and doing some stuff around the house today and never left. Haha! At least my husband saw me and said I looked nice.
