WIW - Not so Mellow Yellow - YouLookFab Forum

I have a natural aversion to yellow. When I told my partner I had ordered these pants in yellow he asked who I was and what I had done with the real Cheryle. LOL

I wore the yellow pants the other day with a black slightly sheer silk top and wore my cobalt jacket but think the yellow may be too warm for the blues. Today I put a white tank under this grey/white top and did a half tuck. I considered a grey belt for lower contrast but left it. I am just going to the surgeon for my 4 week check and then home.

I don't think it is bad but am not sure what else would work with the rather wildly yellow pants.

I think this is close to Rae's yellow so will peruse her blog page to get color ideas.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome both to tweak this outfit and make others.

These are a nice earthy yellow, not in your face yellow. I really like them! Mustardy, fall type yellows work really well with a lot of colors, surprisingly. They look great on you!

I really like this combo Cheryle - grey and yellow works beautifull together. And I love the fit of those trousers on you. Where are they from?

I would pair the mustard trousers with white, navy, dark purple, teal, burgundy and good ol' black.

Excellent ideas. I think the blue I tried may have been too bright but a navy or ink blue would probably work. I also like the idea of teal and eggplant especially since I have these colors in my closet.

These looks great, and I can really see them working well with teal, navy, eggplant, or even fuchsia! Yes!! It amazed me how well my mustardy bag looked against orchid and fuchsia and raspberry tones.

These pants look fantastic on you. I'm loving reading all of the colour suggestions above. I never go beyond pairing a neutral with a colour like this, but I'm looking forward to trying some of these combinations.
