Ugh, I apologize for the terrible pictures, but I tried to take selfies at work (no full length mirrors), and my t-rexy arms kind of distort the proportions. For example, my upper body is not football player sized with itty bitty feet, and my dress comes to about the middle of the knee, so my legs actually do show IRL. Anyway, I was just especially pleased with my new shoes. They are flat and have a slightly pointed toe, so to my eye they go well with dresses and pants, but the "corset" lacing makes them different enough to be fun. Being flat makes them practical for wearing all day.
They aren't perfectly comfortable yet, as the fourth toe on my left foot hits the side a bit, but the right shoe is perfect. And I wore them the whole day (with several miles of walking according to my fitbit) without having to take them off for more comfortable shoes, so I have high hopes that they will be worn often as they get broken in.
Oh, and a bonus picture of my office door. It isn't perfect, and the dot after Dr. fell off, but it is bright and cheery for Read Across America.
