WIW - New fall items - camo pants, plaid top, jumpsuit

#1 - New camo pants and black crocheted top. I had these shoes in the donate bin and then pulled them out for this outfit.

#2 - Plaid blouse and crops

#3 - Long cardigan with pencil skirt and maroon top

#4/5/6 - I've had this jumpsuit since last fall but I've never worn it. I thought it would be something fun and trendy but I never seem to have quite the right occasion to wear it. I can easily make it work appropriate by wearing a blazer that covers the back cutout but it seems too fancy somehow for work. Also, the flat front makes me self conscious about my belly pooch (which you are all going to tell me I don't have and that's very true in this picture - I was having a particularly skinny day, which isn't normal).

I also don't have quite the right casual toppers for it. A denim jacket would work but I don't have one because I don't like them. Maybe a floral bomber? I don't have one of those either but at least that sounds fun to shop for.

Anyway I wore it for a date night with DH (with my new rose gold shoes) - just dinner and drinks while the kids stayed home with pizza and a movie.

1. I love the shoes but not sure if they work with the outfit as a whole? Idk it’s a little odd to me. But I do think the shoes are worth keeping!

3 and 4 are my favorites! That jumpsit looks fab on you! I know what you mean about it feeling too fancy for work; I’ve felt that way before. But I also know if I never wear it, one day I find it in my closet unworn, and sad thinking, I should have gotten over myself and worn that item. That said, if you don’t truly love wearing it for whatever reasons, might be time to let it go?

Love the idea of a floral bomber! Or even a faux suede bomber!

I think the laces in the shoes in 1 kind of echo the mesh pattern in the top. It's cute and it works. I love 2 and 3 and you're right, you have no pooch in the jump suit I know what you mean though. I'm at peace with my pooch these days--I figure on the whole, it's not that big a deal. Fun outfits!!

The colour of the jumpsuit is beautiful. What about the topper you wore in #3 (my favourite outfit of this series). I’d be hesitant to spend more $ on a new topper to go with an outfit you don’t wear much.

Keturah - I think I have a faux suede waterfall jacket that would work. I had forgotten about it.

Runcarla - I thought about that cardigan in #3 too when I was posting these pics. I need to try them together. That's my worry - buying something I won't wear again. However, a floral bomber I think I would wear with multiple outfits. Our fall weather can last for months so light toppers are useful.

JAileen - Yeah, we go on date nights but usually they're pretty casual - lets pop over to a nearby brewery (Albuquerque has a brewery on every other corner) and the jumpsuit seems too fancy for that.

Angie - Yes, a tuxedo jacket would work - I'll have to keep my eye out for something short enough.

More jumpsuit love here. Maybe take a lesson from Brooklyn by adding fashion or regular sneakers and a jean jacket? Casual shoes will knock this down a peg.

I love the camo pants (one of the few things I duplicated over a year ago and I've worn them so much). I agree that you look amazing in the jumpsuit, looks perfect for date night. Great outfits all around.

The camo pants came in a Stitch Fix box - they are Kut from the Kloth Theresa Printed Capri Skinny Pant.

I hadn't thought about wearing sneakers with the jumpsuit. I have some leopard print ones that might be fun.

Love #3 and 4, and definitely try the cardi in 3 with the jumpsuit!

Looking great! I like your hair at this length too. The jumpsuit is fantastic — I can see it with a cropped denim jacket or printed bomber for fun. Those shoes in 1 are cute and I hope you get more wear out of them!

Love the white mules outfit. I’ve seen a few woman here in Beijing with oversized light plaid shirts and it reminds me of that.

I agree with the jumpsuit love! Looks great on you! I think the short jacket ideas would be good with it and make it wearable for more occasions. My favorite of the others is the plaid shirt with white mules - love this. I also like the camo pants, I have a pair and they are just fun to wear.

Camo outfit (including shoes) is super.
