I loved and would happily wear most of the longer shorts in Angie's post last month. Meanwhile, I am wearing my collection on an almost daily basis as we are in the heat of summer and this is my go to formula. Because there has been interest in thrifting lately on the forum, I have marked the source of each item as best as I remember. Thrifted means at a charity shop where they sell donated clothes to support the organization. And because I am trying to pay more attention to my wardrobe churn, I have indicated when it was acquired - old meaning at least 2 years in my closet.
1 - All older items - silk harem shorts that have proven to be remarkably durable, Manila Grace dotty top (thrifted), ba&sh red bag (thrifted) and red, square toe Robert Clergerie sandals (consignment) that I have had in my closet for years - from whenever the last time square toes were in.
2 - New to me I'M Isola Marras top (thrifted) with Levi's capri jeans (consignment clearance), Liebeskind Berlin bag (thrifted) and Mango shoes (old and bought new).
3 - Old blue Maya Negri top (thrifted) with new to me Isabel Marant shorts (consignment) and Vince toe ring shoes (Goodwill NYC this summer).
4 - Old blue top (forgot name and source), same Levi's capri jeans, old Daniella Lehavi bag (consignment), taupe mules Yuko Imanishi (old but bought new).
5 - Latest finds Daffy Duck tee (thrifted - this is the sort of thing I wear at home) and Michiko Koshino shorts (unstyled and hot out of the thrift).
6- back label of shorts in 5.
I am still trying to put together my thoughts and more importantly pictures for the rest of my summer trip finds but this is a pretty good sample of how I dress day to day right now. Comments, criticism, suggestions, questions all very welcome. Thanks for looking!
