Janet - it looks like the lining piece is not pleated like the front is , just darted - if this is true, does it feel at all tight across your face? And have you tried a filter?
pil - thanks for that! Very different construction from what I expected.
1) when you get your kit, if you don't have a serger, it looks like there will be an unfinished seam edge for the inside of the dart at the chin. While it is on the inside, it is open at the bottom for inserting a filter, so you might want to reinforce it by zig zagging the seam allowance after you straight stitch it. I don't like raw edges on anything that will get washed a lot. An fancier straight stitch alternative is to make a french seam

but be very careful as the seam allowances on this look tiny.
2) Tiny seam allowance also make you need to be very careful when you are finishing the open bottom edge hem to avoid it being too small. If you don't have a lot of experience sewing, you might want to practice the two- step narrow hem (I think she calls it rolled, but it is not, technically) she demonstrates, on a scrap of old sheet or woven shirt. Iron and/or pinning and sewing very slowly help. If your sewing machine needle position adjusts left and right while straight stitch, that helps too, but practice!
A nice organic 300 thread count fabric is too nice to mess up.
