WIW - MOTG denim A-line skirt + some extra styling

Quite uninspired, but comfy MOTG outfit + work from home. #1 is what I wore, the others are just playing around to get some inspiration. I'm not sure I hit it this time...feels like something is missing.

All comments / suggestions are welcome as always. Thanks for looking!

- black skinny belt + bird necklace

- second hand "whiteish", "sparkleish" belt + brown / blue stone necklaces

I would not call this uninspired dressing at all. I would be proud to put together an outfit like this and you look wonderful. I really like the long necklaces.

That's pretty good for staying at home today! I like that skirt, it looks very versatile. My favorite is the second styling with the light sparkle-y belt because that makes it look a little spring-y to me. Why wouldn't I think to wear two pendants at once? I like the way your style-brain works Harmonica! You look terrific!

I love the belted cardi and the boots are awesome. I wish the skirt were...different. Maybe it's just the photos (at first I thought you were wearing denim culottes and thought WOW), but I feel like it can't make up it's mind between straight and flared. I think I'd prefer a denim pencil skirt or a pleated skirt with this look...or a pair of denim culottes. (-:

This is not a uninspiring outfit at all!!! They are infact inspiring me too wear something like this. And very unsual but cool necklace in 4. I love how you carry that belted cardi. I can't don one......

With that sleeve detail on the cardigan and the unusual shape of the skirt, it's already too edgy to be uninspired, this outfit! And that's before you stack pendants or add a beautiful bird and a belt to the mix!

Indeed, you're the poster girl for how having great pieces in your wardrobe ensures that even 'default' or simple dressing becomes a great look, Harmonica. I'd be very proud to wear this every way you've tried it!

Thank you all for boosting my day! You help me looking at possibilities and seeing style and shape where I was seeing uninspired!

The bird necklace is H&M and the rocks I found when emptying my childhood room at my parents house some weeks ago.

clearlyclaire: when you mention spring, I think maybe that was one thing I forgot a bit about when doing this! hmmm.. season changing is tricky

kellygirl: my thought when I bought this skirt was that A-line would be good to cover-up the tummy area and the boots needs lots of wear to make a reasonable CPW

jenava: I see what you mean by denim culottes, but I think thats the photo. I really, really appreciate your honesty!!! Actually I have a denim pencil on my wish list. I like the shape of a pencil and the casualness of denim, so mixing them in a denim pencil sounds great to me!
