Thanks, everybody! For a moment I considered just running my errands in my Pilates gear but decided to change and I’m glad I did.
Blue Jay, yes to the breeze! This top is a little more opaque than the Allsaints one, and it took me a moment to say “why not” and just let some skin show through, but we did have a nice breeze and lower humidity yesterday and it felt great!
Funny about the color — it’s an old favorite of mine, and it’s not easy to find these days. I think it looks a little lighter here than in person. But last night at dinner my husband said the shirt matches my eyes, which is funny because teal also matches my eyes! Yes, they do seem to change color depending on what I wear.
Suz, I added the Find for the Dolce Vita sandals. So far they seem to go the distance well. I have not done a 4+ mile walking day in them yet, but I’ll work up to it. I think we may take a little NYC trip in the next couple of months, and they will surely get the test there!
Angie, thank you! I wish I could duplicate these shorts. I got them in Santa Fe when I was there for a workshop probably eight years ago. I can’t remember the brand at the moment, but it was a bit obscure and a later search turned up nothing still available, even on Poshmark. Something akin to the Sundry brand. So I baby these a little bit to extend their life — there’s a little fraying around the edges of the pockets but on a casual item like this, and one that fits so well, I tolerate that. Grey shorts are not easy to come by, and I find them more flattering on my pale legs than black.
