OK! Prompted by my playing around with those sand-colored OTK suede boots yesterday, I decided to style them today. Gotta take advantage of mild fall weather! I’m pairing them with a black Altuzarra skirt I got at a great secondhand shop in Austin years ago, a GoSilk marble print tank, and my deconstructed Levi’s trucker denim jacket. I’m wearing a turquoise ring from a Navajo artisan to pick up the turquoise in the top’s print.
I was poking around for the right bag, and decided to try this one from the holding zone. It’s a Badgley Mischka from many years ago. It’s not an easy match with my wardrobe as it’s a warm grey and the stingray texture is kind of blingy. But I like it so I’ve kept it. It’s a shoulder bag, but I just got the idea to unsnap the shoulder strap and fasten it in a way that I think the designer never intended—but this way I can wear it as a crossbody, which makes it more usable for me too. I added a photo taken outside to show the bag and boot colors and the bag texture.
I like the way the jacket dresses the other pieces down and makes a more casual impression.
