Inspired by MaryK (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....boyfriends) I knew what I wanted to wear today. Without seeing this DD picked her Boden top so I suggested she add her BF jeans (Gap). She added some leis for a splash of color. Then for fun I got the boys in the family to add their blue striped tops to their khaki shorts and Voila! I got some knowing and quizzical looks at the mall but it was all in good fun.

Just exactly what MaryK so perfectly stated!! You look so great in the BFs, and your daughter---aaaahhhh the cuteness!!!! Your whole family is super-cute and I'm envious that they were so game about getting all striped up for a public outing. My 14-year old practically convulses in shame if I do anything crazy when we are out in public, like smile, or laugh, or hold hands with the SO. It's all just so horrible for him!

I'm bowled over by all the fantastic comments and support (Great rating from Angie, a PLONK from MK and Suz you are toooooo kind). I do really like this look (and am so glad it's "in" right now as I've actually been sporting it for a few years in secret, only now having a bit more inspiration and honing of the look.) My DD is quite the character and she keeps us all hopping, she strutted her look all day (but does this in her pjs and just about anything else too so it might not just be the BF jeans - although HOW cute are these - leave it to Gap to make BF jeans for 4 year olds). I'm enjoying that the DC want to be around me now as I know someday it won't be like this (I see it coming Jonesy! and remember being on the other side oh too well)
