WIW - linen duster for the weekend walk

Hi everyone! Inspired by the various posts on linen I decided to wear a linen dress over a pair of cotton chinos. As usual, I added a scarf (a large cotton one) and a pair of comfy sneakers. For more color, a new light blue bag. I wore this outfit for a long walk in a park with DH. The last picture is of the outfit without the scarf. I think it is ok, but I feel more “finished” with the scarf. The weather allows a bit more layers at the moment, so I try to enjoy before it will get too warm again Not a summer person

The outfit works both ways - lovely colors and textures!

SO fab! You have the best sneakers and eye wear. That blue handbag is such a great accent. I can't decide whether I like it better with or without the scarf--both look amazing as usual!

The blue items brighten and lighten. I hope that you enjoyed your walk. We have been having cooler weather with rain, thunder storms and hail and a rainy afternoon is predicted. I hear the thunder now. I makes it hard to coax Mags out. I should look for my black linen dress.

Joy, sounds a bit scary. Hail can get pretty horrible. I hope the storms will pass soon!

The scarf says work or meeting ladies-who-lunch. Without says shopping for fancy groceries.

Either way, it’s a do! And one I am copying after this ridiculous weather breaks

You might not think of yourself as a summer person, but that will be a great great shift whenever it gets good and where you are. No pants required, scarf optional. Love the colors in the scarf.

That is a really pretty scarf (and handbag) but the duster looks just as nice on its own. I really like the shoes too.

I love how you just seem to have the perfect scarf for any outfit. This is such a lovely look both with and without the scarf, but I prefer it with the addition of the scarf.

Gorgeous! The bag's color and shape are just stunning. I love the dress and can imagine it could be styled so many ways. The chinos plus sneakers read as boots to me - cool way to do long boots in summer .

Bj1111 - fun associations …. I wish I could do some shopping for fancy groceries in person soon. So far, most grocery shopping has been done online due to corona…. But getting my second vaccine next week, hope life will get a bit more normal then

Bijou, I have collected a lot of scarves during many, many years. I love wearing them - surprised myself that I haven’t tired of them…. Sometimes, some do not get worn for a couple of years and then become favorites again. Actually, it is a bit of my strategy to have various scarves in many color combinations - they make it possible to combine more clothing items together.

I too love your scarves- on you. I have a few but don’t wear them. I think my shoes fulfil a similar function for me- they pull outfits together. Yay for feeling more normal soon!

Katarina, you look lovely as always! I vote for the scarf! I like the subtle addition of colors with the neutral base of your outfit. Also, your bag is an amazing color, light and summery, and it works well paired with the lighter trousers, shoes and darker dress.
