Just thought I would share some recent WIWs a propos to some topics on the forum lately:

Linen culottes outfit:
Culottes - Gap - thrifted
Vintage Scarf - Tie Rack (remember them?) - thrifted
Knit linen top - Gap, retail
I’m really into browns and purples lately, as you can tell. Abs I picked up these old Gap culottes because I find old Gap linen to be surprisingly good. This linen knit top has also not pulled.

Cream cardigan outfit;
Cream cardigan - Zara - thrifted
Cream top - same as above, linen knit trim the Gap
Pants - Black Tape - thrifted
I will only wear pants with elastic in the back nowadays. I love the shape of this cardigan and have also found it surprisingly pill proof.

Black dress outfit
Dress - Judith and Charles (Canadian designer) - thrifted
Necklace - J Crew - thrifted
Wore this Angie style love the lightness And drapes of this dress - such great quality.

Everything thrifted from Value Village.

Do you wear your. Browns and purples together? I want to try with my tiny bit of purple.

I’m a fan of elastic waist trousers with a flat front, and brown and purple (dark and light) is such a rich combination. Good with a little merlot thrown into the mix as well.

Which Value Village in TO do you think is the best for clothes, Roxana?

Roxanna, VERY wide pants are fringe trending, and yours are super cute! The scarf is a fab match with the jumper. Thought you might like to style the pants similarly to the inspiration pics. Do your version

Love the scarf and I still see Tie Rack scarves regularly. You are acing the wide leg look. Love how you go from the colorful scarf to the cream cardigan - both work beautifully. Black dress is also excellent with the necklace and sneakers

@Joy - I do love to wear browns and purples together - especially heading into fall.

@Carla - I agree - It's such a sumptuous, rich combination - which is what I think draws me to it. I like to go to the Value Village in North York, because it's close to me and has lots of turnover, but you can find some great under-the-radar finds at the suburban ones too. I have found all three of my Smythe blazers for under $15 at the VV in Scarborough.

@Angie - THANK YOU for these! I have quite the collection of wide leg pants now and have been thinking about how to transition them into fall. these are some great ideas - I love how they add a little structure!

@Jamie - I have so been enjoying your thrifting and travelling pics lately too!

Oh, I missed this until just now! Great looks and well done on sussing out those high quality items (thrifted or new) from mall brands. That's such a cool cardigan shape and I really like the cream on cream. I do remember tie rack and look -- they made a scarf just for you! I feel like it would look really cool with the cream layers too.

Hmm. Adding "white top + white cardi + colorful scarf with a teeny bit of white in the print" to my list of prompts for the fall.
