Hi there, just wanted to close off my mini-Kate challenge. Yesterday, I didn't have a chance to take a proper picture, but I did stick to the challenge. I tried to copy Kate's airport style, with dark skinny jeans, a light gray crewneck, and a blue and white scarf (more abstract than one shown in finds, but similar weight, etc.). I will say this was not an effective copy-Kate - it just looked like a generic outfit. The sweater (burgundy version shown in finds) was not fluid enough to capture the relaxed polished look in the photo, plus my hair was just in a plain old ponytail as I didn't have time to wash and style it. However, it was effective in that yesterday would have been a style 'give up' day without the challenge in place.

For today, we are taking DS and his buddy to a huge fashion mall (Yorkdale, for Toronto folks - pray for us to find a parking spot!) for his birthday (his request!). A perfect day to wear a casual outfit with a polished blazer. Because if you don't do stripes and a blazer when you're copying Kate, are you really even trying?

Thanks all for being so supportive of this silly challenge - it really did make me feel better and help me get through my frazzles. The power of style (and supportive women) at work!
