WIW - Lands End stripe sweater

This is sweater #2 of the two stripe Lands End cashmere funnel neck sweaters. One of my stops in this outfit was a trip to the cleaners for my grease stained magenta pencil skirt : (

I'm not so sure about this lighter color combination on me, but the sweater has been worn a couple of times so it is staying. With my shape, I probably shouldn't be wearing such sharply contrasting tops and bottoms together? Pic 3 is a shot of sweater #1 which is gray with blue stripes. Thanks for looking, and suggestions for improvement are more than welcome!

I don't think you can go wrong with either. As much as I love low contrast, there is something about the lighter color sweater that draws the eye up. It looks really fantastic on you! You look so chic in 1!

I agree with kellygirl, I actually prefer the lighter sweater even though I generally go for darker colours. I think it's giving you more bust & waist definition. So don't worry about too much contrast between top and bottom - it is working for you.
For the darker sweater, maybe a lighter/brighter scarf? Are you definiltey keepin that one? I do like it but I just like the lighter one more on you.

The darker one is sweet too, but I also really love the cream jumper on you, Pil, it's crisp and has that modern classic flair. Hope you are keeping both?

Gorgeous! Cashmere Breton striped sweaters? I swoon. Love them both, the second one for the low contrast and the first for it's trending classic color combo.

While both are staying, the cream is getting the most love. I was afraid the horizontal line from the high color contrast would be problematic on me. Does this work because the proportions are correct - sweater not too long or too short?

The lighter shades pop so much with that snakeskin bag. I really like the vest and stripes in #1. Great job!

The bag, the scarf, the light top...this is all working for me. Easy casual look, and I love them both. The sweater does seem to be hitting in a nice spot for you, which is important for proportion.

The shirts hit at just the right point. I too like the lighter shirt better, not that there's anything wrong with the darker one. The light is lively and eye catching, and contrasts well with your dark jeans. Love the scarves too.

I confess to wanting a stronger colored handbag with the ensemble.

#1 is fantastic. Everything just clicks. And I'm finding it so interesting that you coordinated the scarf with the accessories, not the "base". It really works.
