WIW - Knotted Cardi

HI ladies I haven't been posting much lately mainly because I've spent all of June SYC and have been repeating some of my favourite outfits. Here are a couple of things that I wore this week.

Photo 1-3 Mon 25 June - charcoal wide leg pants (Max), cream & grey patterned blouse (Stax), silver cardi (Max), black shoes (Novo) & bag (Novo).

Photo 4-5 Wed 27 June - grey flecked trousers (Stax), red empire line top (David Lawrence), black cardi (Jacqui-E), black jacket (EDC), red scarf (Jacqu-E, red suede shoes(Clarks).

The cardi is designed to be knotted but it is several years old and I wondering if it looks a bit "wrong" even though I like it.

You look fantastic in both outfits. I love the silver cardigan and don't think it looks dated. You look fantastic in red--a very flattering color on you!

Thanks MW the cardi has been hiding in the bottom of my wardrobe for a very long time but SYC sure encourages using all your clothing items.

I love all the soft greys in your first outfit Kiwi - and that necklace is gorgeous! I think the knotted cardi works quite well here although I'm wondering if the knot is a little high up?

And of course, you know I love you in black and red!

I tried the knot lower but I thought it looked weird with the top I had on so I created more of a bolero look.

Both look just lovely. I think the knotted top looks very nice and is flattering on your figure. The red and black is a. It of a signature look and it's just gorgeous on you. Love seeing that Jacqui E scarf. I really like the way you have tied it this time.

You do such a great job of creating boho flair without going "over the top." Beautiful balance of detail, punch, and simplicity!

I think all the outfits are lovely. I view the tied sweater as a item that may not be "on trend" but is still "in style." I love these sweaters, particularly the kind that are more of a dancer's sweater and can be wrapped multiple ways. Very versatile.

Nice outfits. I know what you mean about ylf pulling all things out of our closets. The reds& silver really suit your coloring..I think you did very well. Looking slim & lovely in those slacks also.

Beth Ann - thanks for the reassurance I'm not particularly fashion forward so I always feel there is a danger of hanging on to things to long i.e. that cardi

I love all your jewellery, particularly those necklaces --- so pretty!

And the cardi falls so beautifully. I really like that outfit. Lots of visual interest with the way the 'tails' of the knot curve (how do you get them to do that?) and drape, the pattern of the top underneath, the shimmering necklace, the shiny patent bag and the swish of the pants... GREAT outfit.

And speaking of visual interest, I love how the sheen of the beads is carried through into the top and pants (and also the shoes?) in that last outfit... delightful! Hope you had fun wearing it, because you're just sparkling in that.

The caridigan is designed to only be worn tied which is why it falls so well.

Kiwichick - have you tried the knotted cardi with a flowy midi skirt? That might look great. (Or try it with any skirt.)

Love your WIWs and your Louse Brooks good looks. (Just curious if anyone else sees that similarity? I would love to see you in retro attire.)

CocoLion like that suggestion re the midi skirt and am very flattered by the Louise Brooks comparison must check out 20s & 30s style.

I the grey's together and the red/black/grey too! The knotted cardi has interesting texture and accentuates your waist lovely. You look so well out together and ready for action in the red outfit. Nice haircut too that frames your lovely face. And yes, I see the Louise Brooks comparison

Love these KWC - and am impressed by your discipline in not only SYC, but reworking your pieces with such a modern flare. Speaking of flare - love the flare on your trousers!
