WIW - Jeans, Pumps, Mesa Verde

We went up to my parents cabin in Colorado for Labor Day weekend which has no internet access. It's kind of nice to take an electronic break on occasion.

We spent one day at Mesa Verde National Park which was quite interesting. We did a couple short hikes (very short, 1/2 mile round trip) and I have to say I felt very conspicuous being 8 months pregnant among all the usual hiker types.

#1 - Wore on Friday for a half day at work. Changed to denim shorts and sandals for the drive to CO.

#2 - Worn at work today. I'm so happy I found pointy toed pumps to wear with wider legged trousers such as these. I think they reduce the frump factor.

#3 - Me and hubby at Mesa Verde looking more matchy than I noticed at the time.

#4 - Cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde

Fab pics! I love kitty there on the dryer watching you. And you and hubby look fantastic. I am glad you went out hiking 8 months pregnant. Show those other hikers it can be done!

Love 1 and 2. The pointy pumps do look fab. That's a nice neckline shape in 1.

I'd love to go back to Mesa Verde someday. I was there about 18 years ago on my first visit to the desert southwest, and only spent a morning there. Nice to see your pics!

Besides that you're a great-looking couple and I'm in awe of your hiking ability in this state (though come to think of it, I did lots of "crazy" exertions at 8 months too--the human race would probably be extinct if we weren't as solid as we are)....I think you are dressing wonderfully.

I was last at Mesa Verde when I was 5! It's one of my strongest early memories, and in those days yo could climb down into the homes.

Beth Ann - I think there are some ranger led tours that allow you more access to the ruins. Even without going inside the rooms, I thought the ruins were impressive. My kids loved them too.
