Today was one of those mornings when you have no clue what to wear, and then Angie's fantastic outfit came to rescue as a perfect inspiration! I have been wanting to wear my dolman pullover for a while but it is pretty thin and it is still quite cold, yet I would have never thought to layer it over a button down like Angie brilliantly did!
I have tried to copy Angie's version as close as I could, but instead of her crisp black and white mine is based on mix of subtle neutral patterns. My dolman pullover is grey wit black stripes, and I chose my white shirt with most prominent cuffs and collar, which has some tuxedo detailing. I do not do slochy/baggy pants, and this faded black pinstriped skinnies are about 2 sizes too big and as close to baggy as I would ever wear. The heeled oxfords are grey, round toed and have a bit of black shading going on. I have been debating between simple black belt or cutout dark pewter one, but chose the first as I felt the outfit already had a lot going on. Finally, for the colored coat, I went with the mid-tone purple one which is my favorite coat to wear in the early spring.
All the suggestions are comments are welcome!
