WIW - in crazy weather - YouLookFab Forum

This week was all over the map, weather-wise. Monday was a hot 90F/30C while the middle of the week was a rainy and chilly 60F/15C.

Outfit 1: Worn to work on Monday. This tencel dress is one of the most lightweight pieces I own. The vest was an outlet mall purchase last month during my vacation and I'm trying to use it a summer/indoor layering piece after seeing some of the vest ensembles lately on YLF. And I ran into Tanya on transit that day!

Outfit 2: Another casual work look. The cardigan actually lives in my desk at work for emergencies and I was freezing even in my 3/4 length tee and scarf.

Outfit 3/4: More work outfits. I'm trying to make myself wear my woven shirts more casually/regularly. I added my trusty Danier Moro for extra warmth.

Outfit 5/6: What I'm wearing today to brunch. I'd thought about a dress but DH and I are starting to bike again and I'm not confident enough in my biking abilities to wear a skirt yet. But this shirt has an angled/open back that makes it feel a little dressier but too exposed for work, so it's been reserved for weekend wear only.

What a lovely variety of silhouettes. All are fab outfits. A couple of favourites for me are #1 and #4, though I have to say I love your stylish biking wear and the scarf with your casual work outfit looks great! You have such interesting jewellery and shoes

Thanks Diane! I've always been a fan of statement necklaces so I'm trying to pull them out more regularly. Shoes are hard for me so I'm glad you think they're interesting.

What a nice collection of outfits -- and so cohesive despite the crazy weather variations! And how cool that you ran into Tanya. I especially like #1 and #4. So funny, all my bicycling happens in gear -- cleats, cycling jersey, padded bike shorts -- so I'm always so impressed with people who ride their bikes in regular clothes. I should try it someday when I'm not doing a training ride!

I hope there's another DC meetup soon so I can join you guys next time!

These are all great - I love that bright necklace in #1 and #4. I also like the long beaded necklace in #5 and those red shoes. Fun outfit. That top looks like a great warm weather casual shirt. It looks so breezy and the cross-over back is fun.

Very nice! You are looking so confident and put together. I love the plain blouse with the little band collar, and adding the bit of frou-frou with the necklace is perfect. And the scallop edge blouse with the multiple chain necklace and red shoes -perfect! The other combinations are just as fab, really. You have really excelled in the accessory department!

Janet, your a clearly a true biker! I like to bike trails and around town on the weekends, nothing so much that a comfortable pair of shorts won't work. Biking in DC so far has been an interesting and occassionally harrowing experience! But we should definitely do another DC meetup sometime soon!
