I loved the idea of Katerina's Oldies challenge and the great outfits it inspired on the forum, but thought I would not be able to participate. My wardrobe is rather recent.

Then this morning I realised the jacket I had chosen to wear is probably my oldest item : it is three years old. It also has a special meaning for me as it is one of the first items I purchased when I decided to expand my wardrobe beyond the realm of jeans, tees and hoodies.

My "oldie" is an offwhite eyelet safari jacket. I'm wearing it with a black dress, black pearl earrings, grey wristwatch, my beloved robot bag and flat sandals.
The sandals are actually a default choice - new garden boots injured my feet this weekend and the only shoes I can currently tolerate are trainers, flip-flops or those incredibly comfy sandals.
