WIW - Harem pants as loungewear

One of my few comfortable bottoms at the moment are my harem pants. I had actually bought them specifically to wear post-surgery, when I knew fitted things would be uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I ended up needing a knee brace whenever I leave the house which I can't wear with the dropped crotch, so they are strictly loungewear-only at the moment. But, at least they are very comfortable and stylish loungewear!

Outfit 1 is what I actully wore around the house. Pretty minimal, but it's loungewear for a reason! I've also been trying to think of ways to better incorporate these into my regular wardrobe, so outfit 2 is what I would have added if I were actually wearing them out of the house (a What I Would Wear, I guess). Comments and other styling suggestions welcome!

You look fab in those harem pants! Take this as a major compliment because in general I don't like harem pants, but you made them work beautifully.

That's some pretty sharp loungewear! You look great. It inspires me to put together a loungewear capsule that I look good in, instead of just whatever's old and comfy.

I assume the knee brace won't fit inside the pants?

Great! Harem pants are popular for comfort and modesty (the lack of definition of a skirt, the freedom of pants). Perfect for lounge wear if you think of it!

Thanks, everyone! They do work suprisingly well and are a bit nicer than my usual loungewear, so I actually felt pretty good. And the recovery is going well.

Greyscale, the brace might fit under, but it's one of those large, structured ones so it would a) throw off the fit of the pants and more importantly b) possibly catch on parts and throw off my balance, so I'm not willing to risk it.

Dustt, yay! I love those shoes!

MuseumGal, I had the hair stylist chop it extra short a few weeks so I didn't have to worry about trimming for awhile. It's currently in that two-week short-hair sweet spot where it's neither too long or too short. If only it could stay at this length forever!
